Taste of Home made me the community cook for the month of November.

The Orchard pear pie recipe that is with the posting is a nice pie to go with pumpkin and apple for thanksgiving. Pie is my favorite part of thanksgiving dinners. One year an ice storm made pie the only food I had for thanksgiving. I was to bring the pie. so I made pie then we had to cancel getting together because no one could drive safely. For some unknown reason my brother Bob showed up frozen at my door. I feed him pie and warmed him up. Ice did last long turned rain. Sent bob home in the now rain. With everyone dead, now that I celebrated with. Have some pie.
